New industrial unit in Westhill scheduled for June completion

Knight Property Group maintains its momentum in the speculative development arena across the North East of Scotland.

Construction works have commenced on a 0.44-acre plot in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, adjacent to the forthcoming Wickes store, currently being developed by Knight.

MTM Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the upcoming development project on Exploration Way. The anticipated construction timeline spans four months, with a targeted completion date set for June 2024.

Extending to  4,411 sq ft and offering 12 car parking spaces, the forthcoming unit boasts a high specification design, featuring a steel portal frame construction, high-performance cladding, electric roller doors and a generous concrete yard.

Dan Mitchell of Knight Property Group said,

“We are pleased to sustain our speculative development initiatives across the North East and Central Belt of Scotland. Westhill remains a sought-after location with encouraging take-up and we have received several early enquiries thus far from trade counter and industrial style occupiers.

Doug Milne, Managing Director, of MTM Construction Ltd added:

“We’re delighted to collaborate once more with Knight Property Group and look forward to delivering a top-tier building for their expanding portfolio.”

Exploration Way is positioned approximately 7.5 miles west of Aberdeen city centre, just off the A944 road and offers excellent connectivity to the north and south via the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Road.

Chris Ion, Partner at Graham + Sibbald said:

“The new unit is in a strategic location and is likely to attract a diverse array of potential occupiers spanning trade counter, small box retail or the energy sector.”

Notable businesses in the vicinity include Starbucks, McDonald’s, Screwfix, Toolstation, and Wickes.

Graham + Sibbald are letting agents.
