CFINE charity in Aberdeen has received a donation from Knight Property Group for the sum of £5,000.

Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE) is a social enterprise, set up with the goal aim to support social, environmental and economic development in the North East. CFINE have foodbanks for those in need and generate income to support their services through enterprise trading.

During national lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, CFINE had to make the tough decision in temporarily closing down their premises to keep their staff and volunteers safe. Although their premises were closed, CFINE remained committed to those in need and their crisis support services was available for individuals facing emergencies.

Knight Property Group saw the need to give the charity a helping hand during the challenging times, which was hugely appreciated by the North East charity, as Fiona Rae, Depute Chief Executive for CFINE commented on the donation,
“Since the start of Covid, we have seen a huge rise in the demand for emergency deliveries which include food, toiletries, household goods and sanitary products. It has at times been challenging and Knight Property Group’s donation will go a long way towards ensuring we can continue to maintain this essential service to the individuals and families we are supporting throughout the city.”
