Commercial Property developers and investors Knight Property Group has leased the third of four recently created retail units on Chapel Street, Aberdeen, to local patisserie Almondine.

Family-run Almondine, previously at 39-43 Thistle Street, has made the short move to 15 Chapel Street.

Knight took on the redevelopment of these units last summer. The work included splitting one large unit into four, to meet current market demands for affordable retail outlets. Two other units are currently occupied by Ironstone Barbershop and beauticians Arch & Mane, with 13 Chapel Street the last to remain vacant. Knight is offering immediate entry to the final available unit.

Knight director Howard Crawshaw said : “We are absolutely delighted to see Almondine making the move into our Chapel Street retail uni. With the redevelopment, we set out to provide a space for occupiers that met market demands and was cost-effective. It is evident from our recent lettings and market conditions that this is what certain Aberdeen businesses are looking for. The surrounding area is complete with a number of small, locally-owned private businesses and we hope Almondine are going to be very happy in their new location.”

Daniel Mitchell at agent FG Burnett said : “We have seen a number of deals complete in the west end area recently which is encouraging. We wish Almondine all the very best.”
