LAND ACQUISITION, DEVELOPMENT
AND PRE-LET
This was a strategic 2.60 acre land purchase in the popular
suburb of Westhill, Aberdeenshire. Planning consent was
secured and a 20-year pre-let agreed for a DIY superstore for
national improvements giant Wickes.
The project commenced in September 2023, with successful
completion and site handover in May 2024, ahead of the
official store opening in August 2024. The bespoke store
comprises 21,500 sq ft and will also include 79 parking
spaces, an outdoor projects centre for landscape and garden
projects to the rear of the store.
The new building has a steel frame design to a high
specification and constructed of high-performance
composite wall and roof cladding. All internal fit-out is being
handled directly by Wickes.
