THE ‘SAVE THE BELMONT CINEMA’ HAS BEEN
WORKING HARD ON AN AMBITIOUS FUNDRAISING
CAMPAIGN THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO REIMAGINE,
REFURBISH AND REOPEN THE BELMONT CINEMA FOR
THE CULTURAL BENEFIT OF EVERYONE IN ABERDEEN.
Belmont Community Cinema is a grassroots charity “We are incredibly grateful to the Barrack Charitable Trust
established to restore and reopen the historic Belmont and thank it for its generous support of the Belmont Cinema
Cinema in Aberdeen City Centre for the benefit of the local project. As we work towards reopening this much-loved
community. The overarching aim is to conserve this valued cultural venue, donations such as this are invaluable in
cultural and heritage asset and bring it back into active helping us preserve an important part of Aberdeen’s
community use as a centre for film, heritage and the arts. heritage to create a vibrant, accessible cinema for future

The Trust is donating £25,000 funding towards capital costs
for the refurbishment of the cinema, specifically essential Matt Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer of Belmont
