Scotland’s national competition which recognises and celebrates excellence in the Scottish commercial and public property sector took place in April at a packed out event in Glasgow.
The ultimate individual award, for Business Leadership, sponsored by Bank of Scotland, was presented to our founder and chairman, James Barrack, who was commended for his contribution to Scottish real estate, business and local communities.
IN AN ACCEPTANCE SPEECH, JAMES COMMENTED:
“I would never have thought 35 years ago when my father and I started Knight Property Group that one day I would be presented with this award. I am truly touched and hugely honoured. The property industry is truly a great place to work. There are always lots of ups and downs, good days and bad days and it’s certainly not all plain sailing. We need to take calculated risks and that’s why it’s important to surround yourselves with the right team.”
CAROLINE SNOWDEN, MD OF PRIVATE GROUPS, REAL ESTATE & HOUSING AT BANK OF SCOTLAND ADDED:
“Bank of Scotland is delighted to support the Business Leadership Award in the Scottish Property Awards to underline our commitment to Scottish Real Estate investment and development. Congratulations to James Barrack and the team at Knight Property Group for all their achievements and in receiving this highly regarded award.”
The independent judging panel of 20 industry experts and professionals assessed and deliberated over 60 entries in 16 categories this year.
